A spokesperson for Sen. Barack Obama said recently, “McCain and Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy.”

The time, finally, has come for Americans to say we have had enough. The “Swift-boating” character assassination intended to damage Kerry in 2004, which was nothing but a perverse distraction, sadly, worked on some.

Have people turned that corner to recognize deception and manipulation? It seems we have. The people, so far, are rejecting the wildly inaccurate smears on Obama.

The pace and rancor is increasing, however. At a recent rally, McCain’s running mate said she was glad to visit parts of the country that are pro-America. Does that mean they are good patriotic citizens while others, who may not agree with them, are not? Sound familiar?

Let’s not be fooled. Vote real change, vote Obama.
