If Dirigo is such a great solution to health care, why is the socialist (Democratic) party trying to hide the real cost in taxes on soda, wine, beer and flavored water? When that isn’t enough, what will be next? Milk? Rice? Hamburg?

Nothing more than robbing Peter to pay Paul. I’ll vote yes on Question 1.

If the natives in Maine’s poorest county cannot have a casino, why should out-of-state interests have a 10-year exclusive on one in Oxford County? The puported taxes will not bail Maine out, as it will all be spent on new programs. Millions of dollars will leave the state, and problems with traffic, housing for imported workers, prostitution and crime will come in. I’ll vote no on Question 2.

Bond money is spent on union pay scale, so taxpayers do not get the most possible for their money, as they would in truly competitive bidding. The spend now, pay later mentality increases taxes. I’ll vote no on all bonds until the state gets its spending habits under control.

Do people want to remain the strong, independent society that made the U.S. a great country, or do people want to become socialists who depend on the government for every need?

The French have recognized that socialism was crippling their country, as it has every country that tried it, and are moving back toward capitalism.

The architect of Canada’s health care now admits the system is in crisis.

No to Obama-Biden.
