For eight long years people have seen the dismal governance that only comes from an unintelligent Republican president. John McCain promises more of the same Bush mistakes, and would make things significantly worse.

He would continue the transfer of wealth to those least in need of more money, would launch unprovoked wars, and be forced to institute a military draft since the military reserves have been stretched to the breaking point.

Barack Obama will begin recovering our once great reputation in the world. He will close Guantanamo Bay, stop shredding the Constitution, bring the troops home from Iraq, win the war in Afghanistan, rebuild the economy, stop the overseas oil dependence and defeat al-Qaida – something the current president has failed to do.

Oh, did I mention that a significant majority of Mainers will see their taxes go down under Obama’s plan? Case closed. Vote Barack Obama!
