It’s difficult to find candidates for political office these days who will stick to their word and keep the people they represent at the forefront of any debate.

I’m happy that Lois Snowe-Mello’s record of hard work and integrity is a record no other Augusta politician can match. She knows that government is supposed to work for people, and she is committed to improving their way of life here in the community.

Too many Augusta politicians have a “tax and spend” approach to government, but she pledged to never raise taxes, and she has stuck to her pledge and never voted to raise taxes throughout her time in the Legislature.

It’s difficult to trust a political candidate these days, but Lois Snowe-Mello is one candidate people can trust. I hope others will join me in voting to send her back to the Senate on Nov. 4.
