In his letter, titled “Reshaping America,” published July 17, John Davis hit the nail on the head.
Allow me to continue the hammering.
In Robin Wright’s book, “Dreams and Shadows,” she describes Lebanon, with its instability, deadly street battles and bloody politics, as a “maelstrom of diversity.”
My point is, at what level will the population of this country become so diverse as to no longer be cohesively identifiable as Americans, merely individuals competing for monetary and material gain?
How can this country limit diversity? Or, should it?
