Graffiti is not art. It is ludicrous to even suggest it is.
Simply put, graffiti is vandalism, and people who deface public and private property under the guise of art are clearly not artists.
It is a sign that individuals involved in such activities really need to get a life.
For too long, so-called graffiti artists have been holding the cities of Lewiston and Auburn hostage: If you don’t give up your buildings to us, we are going to keep defacing them.
It has to stop.
