Cal Thomas is right on in his column of Oct. 23, except it is not a game Nancy Pelosi is playing. She is trying to give leadership to a political party that has been trying to commit suicide for the past 30 years.

I suggest the women of Maine get together and give her a giant group hug, and possibly look for a way to give her some guidance given the enormous burden she carries with little or no help from the folks around her.

While they are at it, they might give Sen. Olympia Snowe one as well, since she is trying to give leadership to a party which is very much alive but doing terrible things to the country.

Hugs all around is my prescription.
