I am writing about an article about when and how we are planning to take troops out of Iraq. (Sept. 10)

I agree with pulling troops out soon, mostly because if we pull out our troops, perhaps the Iraqi people would be better off. To look at it from another angle, even though 9/11 happened it doesn’t mean everyone from Iraq or Afghanistan was part of the plan.

I am positive not every single one of them was involved with 9/11. Americans can’t be that heartless. Truthfully, I feel the only reason we are over there is because of oil, and nowadays, I think we should be staying away from oil or finding other alternative energy sources.

We should try to help them, not kill them. We could help by building better living quarters and better communities that are much safer than what they have now.

When the United States entered Iraq, a lot of Iraqi students didn’t go to school, because their parents were worried about the security situation? They are not getting their education because we are making it unsafe. It is sad we are doing this to them, yet people don’t want to pull the troops out.

I believe they have to come out sooner or later, and I feel sooner is better.
