Recently I watched a rented movie that made me very sad – “Who Killed the Electric Car.” It made me sad to realize that in the United States, big corporations are more interested in making huge profits instead of using technology to create a better way of life for everyone.
The electric car was a wonderful invention that would have benefited Americans and, possibly, the whole world. Widespread use of electric cars would have helped clean the environment and decrease the nation’s oil dependence.
The trouble was, building electric cars wasn’t profitable enough for the big automakers.
I wish more people could see this movie. We have been kept in the dark long enough. Maybe all it takes is for people to stand together and demand more for ourselves and our grandchildren.
