Concerning your article of Sept. 2 on page C3 about the veterans memorial, the picture as well as the byline was so insulting, but not surprising. Why couldn’t the Sun Journal find a better picture and a byline appropriate to the dedication of the “Remember the Maine” stone as well as the #12 stone of the veterans?
You may not have believed it was important enough to get front page news.
I suppose the veterans are lucky that the article was not on the comics page.
I think those responsible for the article owe the people of this community, the special invited guests, and especially Admiral Kevin McCoy and the more than 200 people who attended the ceremony, an apology.
The article and picture were grossly insulting.
