Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! No, that is not the birds singing. It is this “old bird’s” disgust with the format of your newspaper.

I was upset with the huge splash on the front page about Anna Nicole Smith’s death. As if she were someone to be held up as a role model for our young.

I have been a satisfied customer of your newspaper for many years. Now, I feel I must express my sorrow with the path your paper is seemingly taking. It seems to me that your paper is becoming a trashy tabloid, pandering to the degenerate morality of the entertainment industry.

I hope that you will reinstate the comics (Mark Trail and Doonesbury) you replaced with some nonsense.

I also hope that you will rethink this trend your paper is taking, before you lose more customers.
