Property taxpayers of Auburn need a reminder that the upcoming election is the last chance for real change for Auburn, the state and federal level.

When people go to the voter booths, they should bring the names of the current council members so they’ll know who to vote out of office. I believe it’s time to clean house at city hall. The new council members would then be able hire a new city manager.

Incumbent councilors are: Bethel Shields, Ward 1; Robert P. Hayes, Ward 2; Eric G. Samson, Ward 3; Donna Lyons Rowell, Ward 4; Belinda Gerry, Ward 5; and M. Kelly Matzen and Robert Mennealy, councilors-at-large.

People who are happy paying high property taxes should stay home on Election Day.
