When one hears Gov. John Baldacci claiming to have $150 million in reserve or surplus, one has to laugh out loud or cry real tears. It has been reported the state owes $400 million just to hospitals. What else is not talked about on the state’s “accounts payable?”
If any of us taxpayers didn’t pay our bills, our checking accounts would look pretty good also. Does our governor see us as that gullible? Isn’t it fair to state that if one doesn’t tell the whole story, then it is fair to call him a liar?
