Residents of House District 71 in Lewiston should support Democratic state Rep.Elaine Makas on Nov. 7.

Rep. Makas works tirelessly for the people of Lewiston in Augusta. She is an appointee on the Joint Standing Committee on Education, the Canada Advisory Commission and the Education Commission of States. She is a staunch advocate for a cleaner environment, especially the revitalization of the Androscoggin River.

In addition to her duties in Augusta, Rep. Makas is a board member for the Androscoggin Head Start Program, the Public Theater and chairs the Lewiston Zoning Appeals Board. Recently she received the Ken Curtis Award from the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee for her outstanding service as an elected official.

Rep. Elaine Makas belongs back in Augusta. We need her there.
