I love reading about all of these people that are against the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. I will guarantee that more than half of those same people have never attended a town meeting or took the time to vote. Yet they run their big mouths as if they have all the right answers in saving the state in which we live.
Doesn’t it make people wonder why big money from out of state is against TABOR? Why are special-interest groups against TABOR? They instill fear in all of the citizens about the loss of services and school budgets: children will not receive their education; no services will be provided; the elderly will not get taken care of.
What TABOR will do is stop excess spending over and above what is authorized by the people. Do people understand? No services or school budgets will be cut. People can authorize any spending they want. What TABOR also does is stop special-interest groups from picking pockets, and the people elected from spending money that was not authorized. Special-interest groups are the only people that show up at town meetings. I hear them cheer when they get my hard-earned money and then they leave the meeting not caring about any other articles. Sad but true. As for me, I am voting for TABOR.
