The first memory I recall of Peggy Rotundo was when I was a 10-year-old student at Pettingill School. Throughout my school years, she always remembered who I was and would recognize me for my accomplishments. As a Lewiston High School student, I received personally signed congratulatory letters from her from the Maine Senate every time I received honor roll recognition.

I served as past chairman of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council. She worked with our group as a source of information, guidance and support for many projects. She attends youth’s events as their biggest fan, encouraging and supporting them in their service.

I am currently a sophomore in college, majoring in public administration. I am certain Rotundo’s involvement in my life as a role model has impacted my career choice.

On Nov. 7, I will be voting to re-elect Sen. Margaret Rotundo.
