I find it interesting, albeit not surprising, that Rita Feeney failed to include a single reference for the numerous abortion “studies” and “statistics” she cited in her op-ed titled “Issue of coercive abortions exposed,” (Sept. 24).

I am shocked and disappointed, however, that a publication which purports to deliver news would allow a writer to spew out hard numbers about anything without requiring the information to be sourced, permitting readers to assess the data’s validity for themselves.

And, for the record, by definition, restricting women’s access to abortion limits women’s options. Having fewer options only increases the likelihood of facing a forced decision, something Feeney claims women do not deserve.
