Christopher Rheault is running for the House of Representatives from District 105. He will get our vote in the primary.

Maine needs responsible, young and enthusiastic members in the Legislature.

Rheault, “Chrisso” to his friends and colleagues, is now 28 and a teacher at the middle school in Falmouth. He is a native of Camden and deeply active in progressive issues in New Gloucester, where he lives.

He has focused his campaign on education, but also actively supports Gov. Baldacci’s DirigoHealth reform and gives high priority to environmental matters. Rheault opposes the citizen initiative, called the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, that he feels is an extreme and dangerous proposal “… that will work no better in Maine than it has in Colorado.”

Rheault has stated, “I favor a balanced approach that allows the state to make appropriate investments and broaden the tax base while decreasing dependence on property taxes.”
