The president thinks the most pressing issue facing this country is gay marriage?

Does this mean he has all the other issues facing our country wrapped up and taken care of?

If so, I can assume Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri are in custody? We are actually prosecuting the so-called global war on terror, instead of using it as a political tool? Karl Rove has been fired since he has been implicated numerous times in the intentional leaking of a covert CIA agent’s identity? (One working on Middle East weapons proliferation, no less.) Donald Rumsfeld has been fired for his ineptitude on display daily in Iraq? New Orleans is rebuilt, and its levees will survive the hurricane season? The federal budget is balanced and the deficit is under control? The legal issues of having the NSA spying on citizens have been resolved? More Americans have health insurance now versus when he came to office? Iraq has become a safe bastion of freedom and democracy in the Middle East? The United States is less dependent on imported oil? Global warming is actually being dealt with, rather than simply ignored?

President 29 percent has no way to spin the news concerning any of those things in his favor, so he must pander to what remains of his “base,” which is pathetic, but not surprising.
