This is in response to the editorial printed Feb. 3 and also a news segment on TV that I saw recently. The FBI has been investigating peace activists for many years. Greenpeace has been classified by the FBI as terrorists because members of that organization have done extensive damage to property, and even sank a large fishing vessel.

There was another peace activist organization that forced its way onto a vessel at Bath Iron Works for the purpose of damaging a ship. I believe that two of those activists are in prison.

And another peace organization, Act Up, was kept a safe distance from First Lady Laura Bush when she visited Lewiston before the last election.

The FBI has made a pledge to defend us from enemies, both foreign and domestic.
