Malcolm Muggeridge, unbeliever turned ardent Christian, social critic and philosopher, in “Christ and the Media,” says that all forms of the media are in a mighty battle to destroy all traditional values and absolutes, leaving a moral vacuum in society.

He specifically cites the British Broadcasting Corp., but we all know that this is widespread in America and Europe. Recent examples: The BBC host on World Outlook pilloried both the Latvian and Nigerian legislators because their countries had passed bans on same-sex marriage.

Traditional marriage is a traditional value, and this BBC guy was hammering it. His agenda: a moral vacuum.

I got to thinking of the minority thing. Should sexual behaviors out of the norm be protected? Again, in the Sun Journal of Jan. 18 we learn of the private acts of Barbara Asher and Micheal Lord, which ended Lord’s life in a chopped-up condition. This story is so sordid, but the bottom line is another form of aberrant private sexual behaviors. Because this was a private setting, does it give it constitutional protection? Sadomasochists, dominatrixes, prostitutes, North American man-boy adherents – where does it end?

I repeat, America is a rebellious nation, and that vision of the Virgin Mary is definitely a warning sign to clean up our ship.
