I am writing about recent and past vehicle accidents on the corners of Ash and Bartlett streets in Lewiston.

There have been too many reckless drivers speeding down Ash Street, and many drivers going through the stop signs on Bartlett Street. They just slow down and then speed up – they don’t stop at all. Then you have people who drive too fast to stop if someone comes out in front of them.

There are people who go to church, which is right on that corner, trying to get out of their cars. They could easily get hit.

The blinking lights are not doing anything to slow people down. Something needs to be done before someone gets killed.

There are too many car accidents on Ash Street. It is a dangerous street, and it does not help when people speed and run through stop signs.

I have lived on that street since 1997, and there have been nonstop vehicle accidents. The police patrol that area a lot and there are still accidents happening.

Something needs to be done about traffic at that intersection.
