I would like to thank Mark Cyr, first selectman of the town of Otisfield, for opening the door to the Voices of Otisfield by publicly complimenting the group for having some good ideas (Dec. 19).

I hope it is just the beginning of combining efforts that will lead to a collaboration between the town and the group.

After all, we are all citizens of a small town working as volunteers toward a greater good.
