In response to Bill Randall’s letter Nov. 25, I would like to ask him, When was the last time he read the Bible? Before he starts attacking its content, maybe he should read it.

I’m not necessarily a religious fundamentalist or religious know-it-all; however, I have, indeed, read the Bible, continue to do so and have been opened to its teachings, including morality. As I’m sure we all know, a person needs to study in order to learn or grow in an area.

Randall says that a person doesn’t need to read a book or go to a house of religion every day to know what is morally right. That certainly is his choice. But it’s not just a matter of needing to; it is a matter of wanting to. Unless you try something, how can you make a valid choice?

I believe I know exactly what to get Randall for Christmas.
