Homosexual activists have targeted children in schools, where they have a captive audience and the parents are absent. The message for children is that homosexuality is normal and healthy, and those who disapprove are homophobes. Starting in kindergarten, some schools promote the gay lifestyle with books such as “Heather Has Two Mommies” or “Daddy’s Roommate.” The latest children’s book is titled “Jessie’s Dream Skirt,” which encourages cross-dressing.

Both common sense and statistics prove that homosexuality is unhealthy and medically dangerous. As a matter of fact, statistics say homosexuals die 20 years prematurely. We know for sure that babies are born male or female. There is no reliable evidence that one is “born gay.”

Our schools have no business promoting a lifestyle that results in killing people 20 years or more prematurely. Help put an end to promoting a dangerous lifestyle. Vote yes on Nov. 8 to overturn Gov. Baldacci’s sexual orientation law.
