I am writing in regard to the “Maple syrup versus sex” article and accompanying photo that was printed in the April 10 Sun Journal. The photographer did a good job, catching the youngster’s distraught face. It is obvious that the child will not forget that moment.

I really hope his parents will counsel the boy so that he is not left with negative feelings about Jesus.

As a parent, I know I wouldn’t want children uninformed about all the good possibilities that are out there, whether they are colleges, careers or religions.

I think the boy’s parents should buy him a King James version of the Bible and allow him to study it and decide for himself.
