When is enough, enough? I am amazed that the state of Maine continues to spend, spend, spend. At the same time, officials wonder why our young adults are leaving the state in droves.

Could it be that the government is living beyond its means? Could it be that the Legislature is out of touch with reality? Or, dare I say it, both of the above?

The last time I checked, I did not have the ability to go to my employer and demand a pay raise simply to pay my monthly electric or gas bill. The last time I checked, I was expected to live within my means. After all, my parents taught me financial responsibility. Maybe it is time to take the Democratic majority out to the woodshed and enlighten them.

Maine citizens need to wake up to the fact that our government is broke and God help us if we don’t fix it.
