One last letter to the editor before the November election. I cannot imagine WGME-TV taking part in a partisan attack program that portrays John Kerry as a traitor for speaking out against the Vietnam War.

Politicians under false pretensions and faulty intelligence led this country into the Vietnam War – a war that the defense secretary during this period admitted was a horrendous mistake.

John Kerry went to Vietnam, put himself in harm’s way and was decorated for his bravery. He then showed even more courage by coming home and speaking out against this war that cost so many soldiers’ lives.

We are now witnessing the same mistakes again for all the same reasons by George Bush and his intelligence advisors. John Kerry tried to tell us you don’t ask a soldier to die for his country based on erroneous information and faulty intelligence.
