I read an article on Sept. 10 from the Dear Abby column of the Sun Journal. I read about the girl who was interested in a guy but couldn’t tell him about her molestation. She had also not been able to tell her mother about it when it was happening.

I think that Dear Abby was right to tell “Scarred 4 life” to cut the article out and show it to her mom. I know that it had to be hard for her to keep this in and not tell anyone. She had great courage to write that letter to Dear Abby. I applaud Dear Abby for its great advice.

I think that Dear Abby was also right to say that if “Scarred 4 life” would have said something sooner, then the authorities would have been able to prevent the same thing from happening to another person.

I think that the Dear Abby column gives great advice and is doing something that will help all who have problems and need help to get them answered.
