I am writing to compliment Cecil Gray (June 27) and John Glowa (June 22) on their eloquent letters in response to V. Paul Reynolds and his “sports” column.
They said it perfectly regarding his good-ol’-boy rhetoric and propaganda. Reynolds, with his we’re the only species that matters so we’ll kill what we want, how we want attitude, relies on “tradition” in bear hunting.
Slavery was once a “tradition,” but certainly one that was wrong and better abolished.
