I am appalled at the way the New York Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner, continues to run his organization and manipulate Major League Baseball.

He has done this ever since I can remember, and frankly I am tired of it!

Commissioner Bud Selig allows this to go on because the wealth and fan base that Steinbrenner and his organization possess, intimidates him.

I commend John Henry, Boston Red Sox owner, for having the courage to stand up to Uncle George and the rest of the league, stating that the MLB needs to put a stop to these charades; a salary cap needs to be enforced.

After the recent acquisition of superstar shortstop Alex Rodriguez, it is blatantly apparent that Steinbrenner is trying to take over and buy the entire league because he possesses an enormous amount of wealth that no one can compete with.

As stated before, a salary cap is urgently needed in Major League Baseball.
