I was so happy to read where various organizations are still putting up yellow ribbons in honor of our military guys and gals. I’m referring to the article about the National Guard who will be shipping out soon.

Whether anyone thinks the war was right or opposed it and whether we voted for the president and approve of him or not, it is important that we all stand behind our military and show them our support with the yellow ribbons and any other way we can. Soldiers are dying every day as a result of this war.

In one area of Lewiston, there have been bright yellow ribbons up since the day after the war started on all the light poles in the community.
