As each day passes by us, more and more I wonder where the heads of people in the state of Maine are at.

As the politicians who represent us line their pockets with our tax dollars, we become poorer and poorer. Concerns about who is smoking a cigarette and where should not be the hot topic of discussion.

How about focusing on the fact the leaders of state agencies are getting a big, fat salary while the rest of the state is struggling to find a decent paying job with benefits.

Our elderly are being forced to decide if their medication or food is more important with their limited monthly incomes. Where are the great state leaders? Where are our tax breaks we are promised over and over again by each new person campaigning? Why are they given the right to vote themselves a pay raise while the rest of us suffer? Higher property taxes, less income, limited medical coverage? Who is running the state of Maine anyway?

How about letting the people of the state of Maine vote on the current salaries of our state officials? I bet if we lowered their income we would be able to give ourselves a few breaks.

Maybe if we had competent state officials there would not be so many people in the state of Maine on some type of welfare.

Stop making us promises and start making it happen.
