I am responding to the article on the Lake Street School Project that appeared in our paper on June 27.
As stewards of our community; school officials, the members of the Building Committee and elected school committee representatives have an enormous responsibility to assure there is a balance between the enhancement of a neighborhood school and forcing a project upon a neighborhood.
One way to look at a community is how they respect and treat their citizens. As a taxpayer and member of this community, I hope these trusted people are looking to the future by being unselfish, cost conscious and working with the challenges to create an expansion that we can all be proud of.
