Once again the Lewiston Daily Democrat, otherwise known as the Lewiston Sun Journal, is trying to dump on the president of the United States (editorial, July 15). Perhaps the editorial writer is from the other party.

In the editorial, the writer declines to accept the fact that George Tenet, a holdover from the previous administration, admitted that his organization did not inform the president that the uranium purchase by the Iraqi’s was bogus. Why?

It would seem that the ragtag bunch of Democrats running for president are willing to cling to anything that would make our president look bad. That is sad.

Politics should not cloud our reason.
