I agree with Lucille Arsenault’s letter (May 31). We waited a half hour for the parade to start, and in 15 minutes it was all over.

I applaud and thank all the people who participated. But why no high school band?

We shouldn’t have to pay them because that’s paying tribute to our veterans. It’s a shame because Brunswick, Portland, etc., had high school bands in their parades.

We might not be here today if our veterans hadn’t fought for us.

What is this would coming to? Don’t people care anymore?

I don’t know if I’ll bother to go to next year’s parade.

It’s sad for our veterans to see a 15 minute parade.
