As a senior who likes to travel to Foxwoods once in a while, I take offense at your cartoon in the May 3 paper showing seniors boarding a bus to the casino after walking past someone asking for charity.

The seniors of today worked very hard in shoe shops and textile mills while raising their families without help from charity organizations. I personally stopped giving to charity organizations because our name was sold to other organizations, then we’re bombarded with junk mail.

Maybe if the top brass of all those organizations were to sew up their deep pockets there would be more money to spend around.
