Stephen Moore, the president of the Republican Club for Growth, is way out of line attacking Sen. Olympia Snowe for standing firm against Bush’s new $726 billion tax cuts that will go to the wealthy.
Where in the Constitution does it say that senators have to agree with the president even though they know what he wants is wrong?
I commend Sen. Snowe for doing what she thinks is best for the country. I also commend Sen. Voinovich and Rep. Houghton.
With the cost of this war with Iraq and the rebuilding, if the government doesn’t generate taxes where is the money coming from to do all this?
We are already doing with less money for education, no money for prescription drugs for the elderly and the mounting deficit we are facing.
Sen. Snowe is looking more like Margaret Chase Smith lately, unlike Sen. Collins who is a “yes” woman and kisses up to Bush every chance she gets!
