I am writing because of all the influences on children.
I see young girls walking around with a lot of skin showing, and little boys playing video games that teach them how to steal cars and hurt other people. And both sexes are confused on the Internet with all of the pornography pop-ups.
If you went to the clothes store to buy your daughter some clothes, what would you see? When I go, I see clothes that a stripper would wear.
Who created that style? I don’t want my daughter wearing those things.
What about the video games out there, such as “Grand Theft Auto,” where the players steal cars, swear and beat people with bats? Are those good things for young boys to learn?
The Internet today has gotten really bad. There are good things on there, like Nickjr.com, but what about those pornography pop-ups? That is not something for young children to look at.
All of these influences – clothes, video games and the Internet – all lead to one solution: Stop buying those kinds of clothes for girls, stop buying those violent video games for the boys, and stop letting children on the Internet without adult supervision.
When young children reach the age of an adult, they will be able to make their own decisions on what clothes to wear or games to play or pop-ups to tolerate. Setting a good example now would really help.
