Big surprise that the Maine Education Association is supporting Gov. Baldacci for re-election, especially after receiving a big raise this year. And remember what that teacher said, that we’re “too stupid and uneducated to question our government about taxes and spending.”
Also, gay and lesbian groups will probably follow suit after Baldacci went against the people’s wishes and gave them special rights.
Of course who can forget about the two biggest unions in the state who got closed-shop rights from the governor?
Now, if you want to work for the state, you have to pay the union or you don’t get hired, or if you already work for the state and don’t pay the union, you will be fired.
Yep. Baldacci has been busy sucking up to special interest groups.
Too bad he couldn’t support lowering property taxes, state taxes, gas taxes, etc., or even support good-paying jobs by way of building a casino and the revenue that would have brought to the state.
And what about Maine being one of only two states that had zero economic growth, while the other one had hurricane Katrina?
Maine had a hurricane, too. It’s called hurricane Baldacci and Democratic government.
