27-Dec. 24 BETHEL Country Christmas in Bethel events listed here take place from thanksgiving to christmas and are part of the month long “country christmas in bethel.” Open houses, ice skating on the common, horse-drawn wagon rides, workshops, musical performances, Taste of Bethel and Theme Wreath Auction ( Dec. 6), Christmas tree lighting, the Community Messiah Sing, sales and store specials, the Living Nativity, and so much more to experience in this beautiful historic New England village.

Come to Bethel Historical Society’s Regional History Center for music & refreshments in the Mason House period rooms, decorated in traditional nineteenth century style and illuminated by candles; Mason House exhibit hall open; exhibits and Museum Shop open at Robinson House; 6:30 to 8:30 PM. 207-824-2908.

7 BETHEL Messiah Sing. Featuring Handel’s oratorio, Messiah, which includes the rousing Hallelujah Chorus as performed by community chorus members. Rehearsal 1:30-3:30 PM (optional). Community Sing at 4:00 PM. West Parish Congregational Church, Bethel. Donations at the door.
