KENTS HILL – Dakota Bowie amassed eight goals, and Maranacook Area Youth Hockey Bantams improved to 4-1 on the young season with a pair of impressive victories over the weekend.
Bowie picked up his first four scores in a 5-2 triumph Saturday over Western Maine at Bridgton Ice Arena. Eric Crawley notched Maranacook’s other tally. Assists went to Tony McIver, Ian Palmer and George Bragdon.
Don Kellough delivered both Western Maine goals, with one assist to Ryan Smith. River Mullan tended the net for Maranacook with Tom Cummings backstopping the hosts.
Back at Alfond Center on Sunday, Maranacook routed Gardiner, 7-1.
Backing up four more goals by Bowie were Tom Pietroski, Sam Bryant and McIver with one apiece.
Pietroski, Crawley and Palmer picked up assists.
Tyler Quirion scored Gardiner’s lone goal from Matt Landry. Mullen’s counterpart in goal was Blake Cote.
