ARLINGTON, VA. – Trout Unlimited (TU) has awarded its top chapter honor to the Kennebec Valley Chapter based in Central Maine. TU Vice President Steve Moyer presented the award at the organization’s 2007 annual meeting held last month in Boise, Idaho, last month.
The Gold Trout Chapter Award is granted annually to the chapter that has made the most noteworthly contribution to the cause of coldwater conservation during the previous year.
“We are excited and honored to receive the highest Trout Unlimited chapter honor,” said Kennebec President Dan Marra. This award is reflective of the efforts of our chapter members and the countless hours of work and the work of public policy-makers and our sister environmental organizations.”
