Elliot of Lewiston defeated Auburn Suburban 12-2 in the 11-year-old all-star District 5 Tournament. Tom Hird pitched a strong game, going 4 2/3 innings. Colton Bernier hurled in relief. Alex Small walloped a homer for Elliot, and added 2 other hits. Nick Perreault also collcted 3 hits. Adding 2 hits were Evan Gosselin and Ethan Melvin. Tyler Cabral and Brendon Pelletier banged 2 hits each for Auburn. Elliot remains unbeaten heading into the championship game Thursday at Gardiner, taking on the winner of ASLL-Augusta.
