LEWISTON – The Bates College men’s and women’s ice hockey teams are sponsoring a pre-season youth clinic designed to learn new skills and have fun. Cost is $150. Instructors will be Bates Coaches Roger Lachapelle and Tom Leblond.

There will be 3 sessions. Sessions A and B are for boys and girls, and Session C is for girls. Following are the sessions to be held at Underhill Arena at Bates: Session A, ages 6-8, Oct. 18-22, 4-5:30 p.m. (1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 21); Session B, ages 9-12, Oct. 18-22, 6-7:30 p.m. (3-4:30 p.m. Oct. 21-22); Session C, girls 12-18, Oct. 25-29, 6:30-8 p.m. (1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 28-29).

Walk-ons are welcome.

Seminar slated for refs

LEWISTON – The final USA Hockey Officiating Seminar is set for Oct. 22 at Lewiston High School. It will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
