AYS of Jay-Livermore remains the lone unbeaten team in the Girls Division of the Western Maine Youth Basketball League (Grades 5-6).

AYS beat Lisbon 39-8 last weekend to run its record to 6-0 in the North Division. Alexi Deering sparked the winners with 16 points. Alexis Blodgett added 10 and Ashlee Quirrion 9. Haley Eck, Sarah Giraldo, Kimberly Morse and Jessica Campbell all scored 2 for Lisbon.

Auburn Rec knocked off North Franklin 43-15 as Jacyln Masters netted 10 and Mary Kate Masters 6. Mikayla Luce led Franklin with 10. Alix Howard added 2.

Oxford Hills, the leader in the South Division, gained a 31-16 win over Dirigo. Heather Verrier, Colleen Stauder and Laura Farr each scored 8 points. Paige Murphy, Alyssa Wade and Miranda Shurtleff collected 4 each for Dirigo.

Auburn-Lewiston YMCA edged Wilton Rec 27-25 as Kelly Philbrook and Crissy Lewis both tallied 8. Swell led Wilton with 9. Hall and Berkey added 4 apiece.

AUBURN – Brew Crew remained unbeaten a fifth game this week in the Auburn Rec Men’s Slowdown Basketball League. Joe Harris netted 22 points and Tim Mower added 13 as the Crew defeated Hooligans 61-34. Wayne Steele led Hooligans with 13. Steve Bell was next with 10.

Pike Industries moved into a tie for second place with an 82-15 win over Insomniacs. Hitting double digits for Pike were Jared Erskine (18), Ryan Giroux (17) and Jake St. Hillaire (14), Ryan Parlin paced Insomniacs with 10. Kevin Gallagher added 3.

West Shore outlasted JF Murphy 58-52 as Bob Bowie collected 15 and Peter Casey 10. Scott Corriveau netted 14 for Murphy, including four 3-pointers. Ron Greco added 12 points.

Jason Bray popped in 19 and Dave Ferraro added 6 as Scott Thayer Auto beat LA Dox 45-38. Mark Stubbs led Dox with 14. Verne Paradie was next with 14.

LA Orphans gained a 58-39 triumph over Rocky Mountain Oysters. Shawn Vincent (15) and Bill Lawler (13) sparked the winners. Eric Camire registered 21 points for the Oysters, all fom 3-point range. Matt White added 8 points.

Marvin Langley scored 15 points and Kevin Blazer 5 as Free Agents nipped First Stringers 39-36. Xavier Pokorzynski paced Stringers with 14. Joe Zembas added 6.
