LEWISTON – Wendy’s picked up 2 wins in recent action in the Minor Division, the first a 10-0 victory over Heutz. Spencer Simoneau and Alex Small combined for 13 strikeouts. Small legged out an inside-the-park homer. Zack Beckner cracked a 3-run double and Rudy Pandora also smashed a 2-bagger. Jeremy Kearns made fine defensive plays for Heutz. . . Colton Bernier and Simoneau shared the pitching duties, fanning 13, as Wendy’s blanked United 9-0. Small had another inside-the-park round-tripper and Bernier ripped a triple. Simoneau contributed a double. Matt Albert led the United offense.

Also in the Minors, Roux Insurance beat Labadie’s 11-1 as winning pitcher Nick Belanger collected 3 hits and Parker Asselin 2.

In the Major Division, D.A. Poussard Construction outlasted Healey 13-8 as winning hurler Coby Poussard allowed just 2 hits over 4 innings, striking out 5. Colt Steele and Chris Madden both belted a triple. Shawn Handler and Austin Lee Chase banged 2 hits each.
