LEWISTON – South of the Border has emerged as the lone unbeaten team in the B-1 Division playoffs of the Multi-Purpose Center Coed Volleyball League following Wednesday night’s action.
South of the Border (2) knocked off Bangkok Garden (1) in a battle of unbeatens. Bangkok won the first game 22-20, but Border came back to capture the next 2, 21-18, 22-20.
Three of the six teams were eliminated in Wednesday’s action. GE (6) ousted Legends (4), 21-15, 21-19; Margarita’s-Sherb Signs (5) eliminated CarQuest Auto (3), 21-17, 21-19; and GE ended the season for Margarita’s-Sherb Signs, 21-19, 21-19.
Playoffs continue April 7, as follows: 6:15, GE vs Bangkok Garden; 7:00, South of the Border vs 6:15 winner (championship).
If the Southies lose the 7:00 match, a second and deciding match will be held at 7:45.
