LEWISTON – The Andy Valley Girls Gymnastics Team earned high marks at its first competition last weekend in Kennebunk.

Emily Dodge finished second in All-Around of Level 6 (ages 12-14). She took second on vault, uneven bars and floor exercise, while placing fourth on the balance beam.

In Level 6 (7-11), Margaret Mathy was fifth all-around, bars and floor. She placed fourth on beam and sixth on vault.

In Level 6 (9), Emily Marshall won all-around, bars and beam, and took second on floor and fourth on vault. Sandra Ricardi wound up third all-around, vault and beam, and finished second on bars and fifth on floor. In Level 5 (10-11), Dayle Jordan placed fourth all-around, second on beam and third on bars. Kali Dixon took sixth all-around and bars, and was fifth on floor.

In Level 4 (9), Olivia Labrecque won all-around as well as bars and floor. She finished third on vault and fifth on beam. Brandi-Jo Stormin placed second all-around, bars and floor, and was first on beam and fifth on vault. In Level 4 (6-8), Lenna Soifer tied for second in all-around, winning bars and beam and placing second on vault and fourth on floor. Sabrina Beck placed fourth all-around and bars, finished third on floor and vault, and fifth on beam. Jessica Soucy finished fifth all-round, vault and floor, and placed second on bars and fourth on beam. In Level 4 (10-11), Paige Leonas was fifth all-around and floor, fourth on beam and sixth on bars. Bethany Ray finished sixth all-around, vault and floor, and placed fifth on bars. Gabby Poulin and Tiffany Levesque also competed well, placing fifth on beam and vault, respectively.

Elks Pool League

LEWISTON – The team of Sonny Beaudoin-Jim O’Donnell took top honors in the Wednesday Night Lewiston Elks Pool League. Second was the duo of Paul Ouellette-Ray Rancourt, followed by Ray Gagne-Jim MacDonald.
