HEBRON – Shaelie Dumont went the distance to earn the pitching victory as Kents Hill nipped Hebron 13-12 in softball action Saturday. The Lumberjacks took their first lead in the top of the fifth inning, 11-8, but it was the last as Kents Hill responded with five runs in the bottom of the frame and Hebron could not climb back.

Laura Dow, Meghan Munro and Brittany Toth recorded two hits apiece for Hebron.

Yarmouth 7, Poland 5

POLAND – Abbie Hutchinson earned the win from the mound as Yarmouth clipped Poland 7-5 in softball action Saturday afternoon.

Hutchinson helped her own cause with a double, while Alyssa Brown had a pair of hits including a double for the Clippers (1-3). Kristy Gary had two hits for the Knights (0-5), while Danielle Girourd pounded out a double. Sara Sands (0-4) took the mound loss for Poland.

Girls’ lacrosse

Gould 9, Hebron 8

HEBRON – Caitlin Forbes notched four goals to pace Gould to a 9-8 win over Hebron in girls’ lacrosse action Saturday.

The Lumberjacks (4-4) scored five goals in the first half to take a 5-3 lead into intermission. Sarah Markey had a game-high five goals for Hebron.

The Huskies (4-3) responded in the second half by doubling up Hebron 6-3, and taking the victory. Carey Hadden contributed three goals and Abby Gardner rounded out the scoring with a pair of tallies.
